17th Nov 2008 (Monday)

What a day we had...at Disneyland. An ecstatic experience. On Monday..we visited the Asakusa traditional town. Asakusa (浅草) is a district in Tokyo, most famous for the Sensō-ji, a Buddhist temple dedicated to the bodhisattva Kannon. There are several more temples in Asakusa, as well as various festivals. For most of the twentieth century, Asakusa was the major entertainment district in Tokyo.Because of its colorful location, downtown credentials, and relaxed atmosphere (by Tokyo standards), Asakusa is a popular accommodation choice for budget travelers.Asakusa is also home to one of the geisha districts in Tokyo. We then bought lunch and headed to Hibiya Park at Kasumigaseki, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. It covers an area of 161,636.66m2 between the east gardens of the Imperial Palace to the north, the Shinbashi district to the southeast and the Kasumigaseki government district to the west.

After lunch, we went to National Personnel Authority Japan. The NPA is a central personnel administration organization responsible for recruitment examinations, remuneration, working hours and leave systems, training, discipline and disciplinary actions, filing of objections, maintaining the ethics, etc. of national public employees.Later that evening we had a Malaysian feast dinner at 'Jom Makan' restoran. Yummmmmmmmyyyy...Malaysian food at lastttttttt...thank u God !!!!!!!!!For anyone interested...Jom Makan is situated at Ginza, Tokyo.

The address : Ginza Five B1F, 5-1 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

Tokyo Trip

Saturday 15th...we moved to Tokyo. We will be there for 5 days...staying at Jica Tokyo. Since we had 2 days holiday...we planned to tour Tokyo...especially Tokyo Disneyland. I was all pumped up...yay ! Kanak kanak ribena betol !

So...saturday after breakfast we took the train from Ibaraki to Kyoto Station. We then took Shinkansen (bullet train) to Tokyo. It was a memorable experience...my first time on Shinkansen. We reached Tokyo in 2 hours and 15mins ! Distance from Osaka to Tokyo was 402 kilometers. We got down at Shinagawa and transfered to Yamanote Line for Shibuya. Later got off at Shinjuku, took the Keio Shinsen Line to Hatagaya. That is where JiCA Tokyo is... Reached Jica at 3pm...took rest and that evening we strolled around Jica Tokyo..too penat to go anywhere. Few of my gal pals with the guys went to Akiahabara - a place in Tokyo where tourists purchase up-to-date electronic gadgets.

This is the JICA bus. We usually take this bus to Ibaraki. Should learn time management from them.. ;) Mycal Ibaraki is the place we go to get dinner or stuff to cook. There is a kitchen at Jica so we bought fish and cooked there. Many of our friends bawak provision dari Mesia...like all the segera segera stuff... so... nothing much needed la...The guys lagi advance daripada gals...beras, itu ini..semua complete. Fuhh...hebat ! Since kelas selalu habis lambat, travelling dan penat...we usually opt for the famous Maggi...tapi kekadang jemu gak !
Bila laaaa nak balik Mesia...aku rindu kan nasi lemakkkkkkkkk....
